Db2 Foundations for Database Professionals Badge

This badge earner has demonstrated knowledge of the fundamental concepts of Db2 11.5 with a focus on planning to deploy a Db2 environment, the basics of securing a Db2 environment, the basic concepts of Db2 and database objects, SQL within Db2, and the concept of concurrency when running multiple concurrent queries within Db2.

How to earn this badge

  1. Be a registered member of International Db2 User Group (IDUG).

  2. Pass the exam with a minimum passing score of 68% or greater.

  3. Exam candidates should have prior working knowledge in a production Db2 environment with the following subject matter:

    •  Planning for and designing Db2 databases.

    •  Deploying Db2 databases and objects such as tables, views, indexes, etc.

    •  Setting up security within a Db2 database

    •  Using SQL within a Db2 environment

    •  Experience with Db2 concurrency and isolation level options



Estimated time for issuing the badge

When all the activities are sucessfully completed, you will receive instructions to claim the badge within 4 days of us receiving the completion email from your approved proctor.
